Formula SAE UCV

Formula SAE UCV is a multi-disciplinary team of 20 volunteer students who design, build, and test a formula-style car to compete in Formula SAE Michigan representing the Universidad Central de Venezuela every year, since 2004.
In 2012, I joined the Team, unknowingly changing completely my University experience and perspective as an Engineer for the next 4 years.
I had the opportunity to build 3 Formula cars alongside incredible people.
I covered different roles within the organization, becoming more involved every year. My responsibilities evolved as I progressed in my Mechanical Engineering degree.
More importantly, I learned about what it takes to bring a project from paper to reality, with limited resources.
Yes, there were many struggles. Venezuela in 2013 - 2015 was not at its worst, but also not its best economic situation. We did the best we could with what we were able to get, with effort, perseverance, teamwork, and a lot of grit.
